The new generation in metal detecting technology
The product effect blanking out of the detectors was refined further. Especially the electric conductivity of the black plastic products in influencing the measurement signals of the metal detector. Only if these signals are precisely characterisized and filtered, even the smallest metallic particles can be found in such products. This precision of product effect blanking out is achieved by digial sensor processor technology of the latest generation.

In practical use, settings of metal detectors often need to be checked quickly and reliably during running applications. That is why great value was attached to user friendly operation.

The software is self-explanatory and leads the operator step by step through the setup means. A LED bar indicates the quantity of the product effect and the metal detection threshold. The unit is operated by means of a foil keyboard at the outer side of the control cabinent.

The tranducer amplification is automatically adpating to the product. In case that products with both very great and very low product effects are scanned be one and the smae metal dtector, the unit will automatically select the optimum amplification.

Main functions and display

Leds indicate the status of operation of the electronic unit. After switching on power supply the leds flashes green. A short moment after power on or after malfunction or after metal alarm the leds flashes red.

After switch on the unit the display shows in the first line the metal counter and in the second text line the status of the unit (Stop, ok). Alternative you can set up in the parameters that the level of sensitivity as well as the high of the actual signal of the detector will indicate. The switching process will made by the cursor buttons.

By pressing the enter buttons the belt starts or stops and the metal detector is activated or not activated.

Choice of product
The choice of product 1-3 will make by pressing buttons P1, P2 or P3. The actual choice will also indicate by the flashing green led beside the button. By pressing the button a second time the "no product effect values" are valid. That means no effect will be consider, led will indicate by no lighting.

If there is no effect in the memory places 1-3 the comes a Error message for each product button in the display. That means there was no effect learned on the memory storage place. So you must do it at first.

Learning of product effects
By pressing the buttons P1, P2 or P3 longer the learning process will start. 60 seconds the unit collect signal from the metal detection unit. During this time a metal free material stream must flow constantly through the center of detector. Old values of learning processes will be overwrite.

Alarm of metal
After metal detection an information of high of signal (is like the size of metal) and the phase of signal (is like the kind of metal) in the first line of display will show. Indicate also by the red flashing leds. If one of the two transistor output signals will be set on "RESET" in the display you can read the message "metal alarm" and the order to reset the metal detection by pressing the enter button now. Until the moment you have made the reset the Leds flash red, after reset they flash green.

The menu is reached by pressing the cursor buttons concurrently. The start stop function is not active during the menu status. Moving in the menu will make by the cursor buttons. Change the values of some parameters by pressing enter and the value starts to twinkle.

With the cursor buttons you can increase or decrease the value of parameter. Pressing enter button again the set up value is valid and finished. Come back in the main menu press again the two cursor button concurrently.

In the menu the following features are integrated:

  • Metal counter: metal counter reset by pressing 1) Enter, 2) Cursor up, 3) Enter
  • language: German/English
  • filter for vibrations: on/off
  • confirmation of separation 1: on/off for confirmation that detected material was separate with success (an optional optical, capacitive, etc, sensor is necessary for this feature (for conveyor applications)
  • separation time 1: duration of separation (constant unti RESET or 100ms... 10s)
  • separation time 2: duration of separation (constant unti RESET or 100ms... 10s)
  • delay for separation (control a pusher behind the detector): delay for the signal metal alarm (0...10s)
  • max. sensitivity: value in %.
